That leaves Sections 3, 4 and 5, and as these appear to be chargeable to United Kingdom funds it hardly seems necessary to try and pursuade Admiralty and War Office to accept the appropriate'shares whatever they may be. We cannot divide up 3(a) between the Admiralty and the war office as the 05: Accountant's list of recipients give no indication as to d nol whether the families were those of Army or laval1Officers; and we have no details at all of items 3 (b), 4(a) and 5(a) (b) (c) and (d). I admit that on the face of the Jng statement Section 5 should be wholly charged te War Office funds
especially item 5(4) although in the absence of any details it is.probably impossible) for War^office to follow up the matter.

(wolesTos sumɔup. I would suggest that the Colonial üffice
accept the completetcharge forɔ7.258,948.94 (32,068.14.9) unless you consider, and the far office agree, that Section 5 (P.39,322.97 which at 8.0701254,892.13.2) should be recovered from the War Office.
